Job summary
An exciting career opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and proactive individual who is able to work minimal supervision, to join our busy and progressive Clinical Photography Department, to fulfil the role of Trainee Clinical Photographer. Salford Royal is opening a new Trauma Centre in Spring 2024 and we will be dealing with complex and extremely interesting patients who will need our services.
We are also expanding the department with an additional studio, so these are exciting times ahead for Clinical Photography at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA).
We require a trainee clinical photographer to help the service re-establish a more balanced team and increase patient choice. The successful candidate will also be enrolled onto the IMI PG (distance learning) course in Clinical Photography at Stafford University during their training period, all costs will be met by the Trust.
You must have excellent communication and people skills and the ability to build successful relationships with senior clinicians and managers along with other teams within the service.
In addition, you will be expected to contribute to the continuity of service which includes undertaking a number of front office administrative and reprographic duties from time to time and will be required to provide support as necessary to unqualified/admin staff.

Main duties of the job
Managing own workload with trainee level of supervision, carry out a range of clinical photography duties and video recording to provide clear, accurate reproducible and relevant images supporting clinical diagnosis, records, teaching, research and publication. Working in a small team, contribute to the continuity of service including front office, administrative and reprographic duties. Also provide support to unqualified/admin staff as required.
