Job summary
We are looking to appoint an experienced paediatric nurse to lead and develop paediatric ambulatory care throughout the Division of Women and Children's. You will work jointly with the Children's Unit Manager to ensure visible leadership and line management of a shared team. From a service development perspective you will have oversight of our Paediatric Observation and Assessment Unit, our Paediatric Surgical Service and Children's Outpatients Departments at Royal Oldham Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary.
Main duties of the job
Using robust and adaptable leadership skills, the successful candidate will work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. The Paediatric Ambulatory Care Manager will build on established relationships with colleagues in Paediatric ED, Children's Community Nursing Teams and the Surgical Directorate to ensure pathways and processes are developed and embedded to maximise capacity and flow.
Demonstrating strong clinical practice skills, the Paediatric Ambulatory Care Manager will develop the nursing team by role modelling, coaching, and supporting excellence in clinical practice, clinical governance and financial management of the service.
