Job summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen on the Brooke Treatment Unit Outpatient department at Salford Royal Hospital.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Housekeeper to support the team in maintaining stock, equipment levels and provide patients with refreshments.
Brooke Treatment Unit is a split between 2 Units, in total looks after 17 sitting areas and 4 bedded side rooms.
The post provides an exciting challenge to the successful candidateand gives the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the needs of patients, multi-disciplinary team, and relatives.
You should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise across multi agencies and multi-disciplinary departments.
Experience of working with the general public is essential.
The ability to work independently and adapt to an environment of changing priorities is an essential component to consistently facilitate a patient focused approached.

Main duties of the job
You should possess good communication and organisational skills, previous basic IT experience and experience of dealing with the public/patients.
It is essential that you are able to work in an orderly and systematic manner, possess good literacy, numeracy, communication and organisational skills. You should have a caring attitude, as well as the ability to work effectively under direction as part of a multidisciplinary team. Previous experience of working in a hospital setting, and previous housekeeper work experience with experience of ordering and managing stock would be advantageous to this role, however in-house training will be provided.
You will be working with a fantastic and supportive team who will be happy to assist you as settle within the team. Regular feedback and one-to-one will be provided by your manager to ensure that you stay happy in your job.
