Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the newly formed Community Diagnostic Centre team. This team will play a vital role in revolutionising the way diagnostics are delivered across the NCA.

Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) deliver additional, digitally connected, diagnostic capacity in England, providing patients with a coordinated set of diagnostic tests in settings located within their community, in as few visits as possible, enabling an accurate and fast diagnosis on a range of clinical pathways.

Main duties of the job

As a band 5 qualified nurse, you will work closely with the CDC unit manager, ensuring a continuous nursing presence in the centre Monday-Sunday 7.30am-8pm. You will be responsible for ensuring a high quality experience for the patients and their families who use the centre, maintaining a safe and effective environment. You will utilise clinical skills and judgement whilst assisting with the patient care across several pathways such as cancer diagnostic services, naso-endoscopy clinics, and routine scan appointments.

We understand that the chance to grow and develop your nursing skills may well be important to you so development is fully supported by the management team.
