Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 2 Health Care Support Workers within the Acute Respiratory Unit at Fairfield General Hospital.

The Acute Respiratory Unit on Wards 11a/b is a face paced, high acuity unit caring for Respiratory, General Medical and ENT patients.

Main duties of the job

Working alongside a Registered Nurse to develop and deliver a personalised plan of care to patients. This will include assisting with personal care needs such as washing and dressing, mobility support, nutritional care needs and maintaining thorough records and documentation

Essential Qualifications

Essential

  • Care Certificate / L2 Health related vocational qualification or commitment to work towards

Desirable

  • Care Certificate / L2 Health related vocational qualification already achieved

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Positive Approach to working as a team
  • Willingness to undertake shifts across a 24 hour period (Days, Nights, Weekends, Bank Holidays)
