Job summary
As a Quality Assurance Specialist you will play a vital role in the day to day management of the quality systems. You will work closely with the other members of the quality team within aseptic services to ensure the quality management system is appropriately maintained and developed.
You will be based at The Royal Oldham Hospital, but will work closely within the quality assurance team, providing a service to both The Royal Oldham Hospital and Salford Royal Hospitals.
The aseptic department at SRFT holds an MS Licence, making this post an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to gain experience of working in MHRA licensed facilities, whilst maintaining the benefits of working within an NHS Trust.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role include:
- To liaise senior staff to ensure adherence to current legislation and standards
- To organise and participate in audit
- To arrange and manage the validation program
- Organise and deliver staff training
- Write and develop policies and procedures
- Perform trending of data and produce written reports
- Perform investigations identifying root causes and corrective and preventative actions
- To communicate with all members of the Aseptic Teams, and regulators
- To organise and participate in meetings
- To undertake relevant tasks in the preparation of aseptic products, specific to their qualifications
- To act as a releasing officer for products prepared under the MS Licence.
