BASE: The Royal Oldham Hospital
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, confident and committed receptionist to join our busy Radiology Department.
You will be required to provide reception/clerical support within a very busy department, you must be hard working and flexible. As the first point of contact for patients visiting the department, you will be friendly and approachable, ensuring that a positive patient experience is provided from arrival.
The position will be based at The Royal Oldham Hospital and is full time and permanent.
There will also be a requirement on occasion to work at the other sites. This is a full-time position and will include evening hours and some weekend working.
Main duties of the job
You will assist in providing an efficient, high quality receptionist/clerical support service to the Radiology Department, consisting of attending patients, dealing with referrals on the computerised Radiology Information System (CRIS), and from GP's, and Out-Patient and In-Patient referrals requesting various scans, dealing with telephone enquiries, scanning, filing, emailing and photocopying. Excellent communication, computer skills and a confident, pleasant approach when dealing with patients and the general public is essential. You must be able to work on your own and to tight deadlines.
A working knowledge of Radiology and of the CRIS computer systems would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
Good keyboard skills are essential.
Additional enhancements for unsocial hours/weekend/Bank Holidays are payable.
