General & CT Night Radiographer

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 radiographer to join the night team at Fairfield General Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic, patient focused Radiographer. You should be a good team player and be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, and communication skills. The Radiographer will work as part of the radiography team, providing an efficient and high quality imaging service 24/7, whilst dealing with patients in a caring professional manner. The Radiographer will be expected to act as a senior member of the team working a rotational rota covering night shifts, with regular rotation onto weekday shifts. The Radiographer will be expected to extend their skills and competence to include all CT examinations.

Main duties of the job

The general and CT department at Fairfield is an exciting place to work with excellent opportunities to increase skills in CT and leadership. You will be expected to take a leading role and assist in the running of the service, within the general area of x-ray and the CT department. You would be expected to work on a three week rolling rota which will include 2 weeks of nights and 1 week of days.

  • BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or DCR (R) UK Obtained

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the principles of Radiography.
  • Demonstrable experience of diagnostic radiography, working within a team and independently.
  • Evidence of continuing Professional Development
  • Ability to give effective feedback to and liaise with a wide range of individuals.
  • Demonstrable experience of specialist radiography obtained following rotation through CT, MRI, and Interventional Radiography, equivalent to post graduate level.
