An exciting opportunity has arisen within Northern Care Alliance Service for a highly-motivated Band 6 Podiatrist to join our team.
In this role you will be responsible for delivering high quality, accessible and timely complex wound management across both inpatient and outpatient settings at Oldham and Fairfield Hospitals and occasional clinics in the community setting . You will be collaboratively working within a multidisciplinary structure across acute and community services , This will include liaising with both primary and secondary care clinicians.
Main duties of the job
- You will be working in a fast-paced environment, challenging environment, where your podiatric interventions will contribute to reducing the length of stay of inpatients with active foot disease.
- You will be working independently and flexibly with a need for optimal time-management due to the ever-changing demands and pressures in a small Acute-based team.
- You will be liaising on a daily basis with Consultants, Specialist Nurses, Community-based colleagues and other disciplines to ensure seamless care is provided to the caseload of both outpatients and inpatients, and will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- You will have excellent organisational skills to maintain the smooth running of the team and the changing caseload
- You will use investigations and results to appropriately aid in your treatment.
- You will play an active role in the collection of audit data within the team and use evidence based practice and guidelines to aid your own clinical decision making.
- You will play an active role in any research the team undertakes.
