Training and support is offered to the right candidates to ensure they can be successful in the role.

Main duties of the job

The Northern Care Alliance (NCA) is looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic procurement professional to join their award winning procurement team in the role of Senior Buyer.

The role will sit within our Strategic Sourcing team and as Senior Buyer you will contribute to the management of a designated category area.

Candidates will need to be confident in analysing data, engaging with stakeholders, and driving and achieving cost savings whilst managing business as usual demands. You will contribute directly to the Trust's procurement plan and cost saving target.

Experience within a procurement function is essential and you must have an understanding of public sector procurement including EU Regulations and OJEU procurement processes and thresholds.

CIPS qualified or willingness to work towards the qualification, plus experience in the Healthcare sector, though not essential, would be a distinct advantage.
