Job summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen, due to maternity leave, to join the busy department of Undergraduate Medical Education which delivers the teaching programme (MBChB) to University of Manchester Medical Students from Year 3 until they graduate at the end of Year 5.
The Year 3 role is a key role within the department as the post holder will be responsible for allocating medical students to placements & planning and coordinating the teaching for the year 3 medical students and monitoring the end of placement evaluations.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to liaise with our linked Clinical Education Partners & also support the medical students during this extremely busy year, as well as being the point of contact for internal & external enquiries relating to Year 3. This post requires an enthusiastic, highly organised individual to join our team. You will be expected to contribute to the future design, planning and implementation of the students' teaching and also support other elements of the programme. This may require them to attend meetings at the University or other sites on occasion.
It must be noted that the Undergraduate Medical Education curriculum is subject to change & it may result in the post-holder taking on additional responsibility and the role evolving to meet the needs of the department.
