We are now recruiting for a Band 7 position in primary age complex needs The post will be for part time ( 18.75 hours per week). This post is permanent contract
The post sits within the complex needs team which includes Speech & Language Therapists, Assistant Practitioners, Bilingual Co-workers and Administrative Assistants.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a highly specialist speech and language therapist with:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good problem solving and negotiation skills
- Good presentation skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
- Well established knowledge of formal and informal assessment tools related to the client group
- Well established knowledge of a range of therapeutic interventions including a strong interest/experience in Total Communication and AAC
- Knowledge of standards of clinical record keeping

- Relevant specialist experience of complex clinical caseload management
- Relevant experience of working collaboratively with families and other services
- Evidence of Implementation of evidence-based and child centred interventions relevant to clinical caseload
- Experience of assessment for a wide range of children's speech, language and communication needs
- Experience of involvement in managing/leading projects and delegating tasks/ allocate work to othersmembers of staff and students
