Advanced Dietitian - Paediatric Diabetes

Job summary

As an advanced paediatric dietitian, you will be working within a larger team of 11 paediatric dietitians across the Norther Care Alliance hospitals trust. You will be an integral member of the MDT Paediatric Diabetes team providing a service to paediatric patients with diabetes. Ideally you will have experience of either paediatrics or diabetes, however if not and diabetes is your passion, we will consider your application as training can be supported.

The post is based at the Royal Oldham Hospital although the post holder will ideally need to be a car driver as you will be carrying out occasional home visits and may be attending clinics at Fairfield General hospital or Rochdale Infirmary, but this shouldn't restrict any application if not a driver. We actively encourage Continuous Professional Development and are involved in all types of placement training for student dietitians.

Candidates must be qualified dietitians and registered with the HCPC.

Main duties of the job

You will attend MDT Paediatric diabetes clinics, MDT transition diabetes clinics, and joint PDSN and dietitian clinics.

You will provide annual reviews for patients and carry out home visits as required.

You will provide structured education sessions.

You will see newly diagnosed patients on the Children's ward and may follow them up either at home or as outpatients
