Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for us to appoint a Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner based in the SDEC at Fairfield Hospital and supporting across Urgent CareSDEC is part of the Emergency & Urgent Care Directorate and works closely with other departments in the hospital to provide the appropriate level of high quality care for our patients. The Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner role enables us to provide consistent and advanced clinical services within all areas to help steer patient journeys through the appropriate pathway in a timely fashion to reduce length of stay and improve patient experience.
Main duties of the job
The Lead Advanced Practitioner will work clinical shifts in SDEC and will support the Consultant and Unit Manager with the day to day management of the Advanced Clinical Practitioners and support the development of the Advanced Clinical Practitioner service within the dept. This will be in conjunction with the Nurse Consultant and Lead Nurse and represent the ACP workforce and strategy across the Division to the Senior Leaders within the Care OrganisationThe successful candidate will Support the Nurse Consultant lead and implement an ACP Faculty, deliver pastoral support and work alongside the ACPs in ED and the UTC to provide educational support and development of ACPs.The job plan will start as am 60/40 split between clinical & managerial responsibilities.You will be enthusiastic, motivated and committed to wanting to help drive the strategy of a blended workforce with advanced skills within this challenging but exciting environment.As a professional with extensive knowledge you will also be expected to support junior colleagues and work as a strong team player to ensure the patient gets the best care possible. It goes without saying that you will be fully dedicated to patient-centred care and you will be willing to work closely with colleagues at all levels to ensure this continues across your department.
