Job summary
As a radiology clinical support worker you will be required to work with and assist with all members of the Radiology team in order to maintain an efficient and patient focused service for the patients attending for all types of radiographic examinations.
It is a great opportunity for developing team working and communication skills as the support worker is a key member of staff within the team.
The pace is fast and energetic but rewarding as the service continues to expand within each radiology modality
There is some flexibility with the shift start and end times. Part time and flexible working requests are welcomed.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Radiology Clinical Support Worker with excellent organisational skills to work alongside and assist radiographers, radiologists and radiology nurses in a variety of examinations at Salford Royal Hospital.
We are a busy radiology department carrying out all types of general and specialist radiology examinations.
Duties include providing appropriate patient preparation for x-ray examinations and ultrasound scans, assisting with procedure lists within the ultrasound and fluoroscopy rooms, as well as working alongside radiographers within the main x-ray department.
You will also help to maintain stock.
You will be committed to providing a high quality service and understand fully the Trust Objectives when dealing with the public and staff at all times. In return we offer excellent opportunities for personal and professional development.

Previous experience in a healthcare environment is recommended and basic IT skills are required.
