The department is driven by a collaborative decision making process between anaesthesia and surgery to optimise outcomes for patients. We are also the first Trust in the North West to provide a 7 day Thrombectomy service. This is expected to expand to a 24 hour service shortly.
Outside of Salford, we also support the NCA orthopaedic centre which is based in Fairfield hospital and general surgery lists at Rochdale Infirmary.
