Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 7 Highly Specialist Audiology Practitioner - Adult Clinical Lead, to join Salford Audiology Service.
Salford Audiology is a community adult and paediatric service working across four Gateway Centres. You will work across multiple locations throughout the week.
This is an opportunity for a proactive, dynamic, experienced and forward-thinking individual. The post holder will be responsible for delivering highly specialist expertise in the diagnostic assessment and rehabilitation of complex and non-routine adults with hearing and balance disorders.
Balance experience and knowledge is desirable however the role will require clinical leadership of adult rehabilitation.
Main duties of the job
Highly Specialist skills for diagnostic and rehabilitation are essential.
This role requires a strong motivation for quality improvement and clinical governance, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation. Good leadership skills will be required to support the Operational and Professional Lead of the service and work jointly with other senior colleagues within the team.
The post holder will be responsible for monitoring and improving standard of care by efficient and effective use of resources, utilising clinical audit, research and supervision of practice.
The post holder will be required to support junior members of the team, undertaking clinical support, peer review and appraisals.
Experience of electrophysiological assessment is desirable.
