Job summary
We are seeking a self-motivated individual with excellent organisational and administration skills to join the Cancer Services team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be required to liaise with staff at all levels associated with multi-disciplinary team working. You will have daily contact with managers, clinicians and nursing staff, both from within the Trust and across the region.
You will need to be able to work well as part of a larger team as well as have the ability to work autonomously and be a decision maker as well as being able to multi-task.
A flexible approach to work will be required to manage changing priorities and deadlines. A knowledge of cancer waiting times would be an advantage.
Main duties of the job
You will work in a busy department and in an environment where confidentiality is essential.
You will need to be proactive with a willingness to join a busy and demanding service. It is important to have the ability to use initiative and be able to prioritise work under pressure - in return we can offer you an interesting and rewarding opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the delivery of patient services.
