Job summary
We are in particular looking for individuals with a subspecialty, severe asthma and and lung cancer.
The post holder will be involved in appropriate specialist clinics and will be actively involved in audit, teaching and research.
We have opportunities for development in education, management, service development, governance as well as research.
You must have full registration with the General Medical Council and a valid licence to practice. All applicants must be on the specialist register in respiratory medicine or within 6 months of achieving a CCT (or equivalent) at the date of interview.
(Primarily based at Fairfield General Hospital, with possibility of some activity at other sites)
Main duties of the job
A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Consultant in Respiratory Medicine to join our busy and dynamic team,
The Trust provides multi-disciplinary in-patient and community respiratory services in Fairfield, Rochdale and Oldham offering early supported discharge and admissions avoidance. We work in partnership with other providers to deliver these services elsewhere within the Pennine Sector with a long term vision to integrate respiratory care across community and acute settings. Liaison and engagement with GPs and community partners is a key role of all respiratory consultants.
