Job summary
Bury, HMR and Oldham Audiology Services are seeking to recruit a Audiology Support Worker. You will be based at Nye Bevan House inRochdale you may need to travel occasionally to other sites.We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and caring person to complement our existing audiology teams. The Audiology Services are friendly, forward thinking and experienced with a good skill mix. This is a good opportunity to join an innovative and dynamic service that providesassessment, treatment and advice to adults and children with hearing difficulties.The post will involve contacting patients with a view to ascertaining their hearing aid status and making arrangements for them to be placed on theappropriate hearing pathway. There will be a mix of both technical and administrative duties which have clearly defined protocols and procedures.The hours of work are 15 per weekThe role is until the end of May 2024.
Main duties of the job
- The Audiology Support Worker will contact patients as required and ensure patients are placed on the appropriate hearing pathway by telephone or letter
- The Audiology Support Worker will provide options to patients on their continuing care.
- The Audiology Support Worker will record the activity on auditbase
- The Audiology Support Worker will have excellent communication skills and provide good customer care to all patients and stakeholders.
- The Audiology Support Worker will give administrative support to the audiology service
