Job summary
As Directorate Manager for Vascular and Trauma, you will work with the Directorate Clinical Directors and Assistant Director of Nursing to lead the development and delivery of Directorate performance within the Division of Surgery and Anaesthetics to deliver high quality, patient focused services.
This will be achieved through close working with the Divisional Management Team and triumvirate to ensure optimum levels of performance in line with corporate objectives and evidence based best practice.
Main duties of the job
Leading the development of services to deliver a high quality patient focussed service.
Ensuring optimum and high level ongoing performance in line with corporate objectives and evidence based best practice.
Lead and deliver relevant projects of service development and improvement.
Responsible for performance management, ensuring robust systems and processes are in place to support the effective monitoring of activity and finances.
Responsible for the efficient and effective use of resources including development of robust recovery planning where deviation occurs.
Development of directorate team managers.
Participation in Senior Manager on-call rota.
