Job summary

You will be an integral part of the Stroke Team at Salford Royal Hospital Trust Comprehensive Stroke Centre which comprises 9 Consultants, registrars, JCF and nurse practitioners. The post will involve inpatient management of acute/hyperacute stroke, stroke rehabilitation and TIA care.

Main duties of the job

You will participate in on-call with middle grade staff with on call

There is the opportunity to pursue a research interest during the post.The post is temporary for 12 months

Salford Royal has teamed up with housing association Salix Homes to provide a 26-apartment complex for doctors, nurses and other clinical staff who work at the organisation. Subsidised accommodation is available to new entrants to the Trust.

  • Full registration with GMC

  • Experience in stroke care at either SHO(CMT) or SpR(ST) level, or in a stroke research post
  • Clinical experience in General Medicine at SpR(ST) level
  • Experience of working in a team
