Job summary
We are looking for an Immersive Learning Technology Officer (ILTO) to lead the successful deployment and early adoption of new immersive learning/extended reality (XR) technologies including virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, 360 and 180 filming and simulation.
Main duties of the job
This post will include several key duties or responsibilities:
- Review current systems and present ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals.
- Be the authoritative expert on XR systems and support best practices on maintenance, security, troubleshooting, monitoring and backups.
- Manage the XR infrastructure, hardware, and its environment.
- Manage the successful and appropriate deployment of XR equipment.
- Nurture key relationships with senior and non-senior individuals to help forge and maintain networks.
- Co-ordinate and facilitate best practices in the use of the immersive space(s) with educators and various multi-professional groups.
- Develop and promote models to support innovation in learning with the use of immersive technologies.
- Support the maintenance and management of immersive space(s) in education at the NCA.
