Job summary

H5 is part of the Northern care Alliance network, it is a 27 beddedunit caring for patients with a variety of spinal problems. All thenurses and support workers pride themselves in delivering patientcentred care and are all skilled in caring for patients with spinalcomplaints.

As a team we deliver a holistic, friendly, open, patient centred environment and abide by the trust values. We have excellent relations with members of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), which include, specialist nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, SALT, dietitians, and the medical and surgical teams.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated adult nurse with a passion for delivering high standards of care.

Main duties of the job

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with individuals and groups about difficult or complex matters overcoming any problems in communication.
  • Develop knowledge and practice in an area of work.
  • Promote best practice in health, safety and security.
  • Contribute to the development of services.
  • Improve quality.
  • Promote people's equality, diversity and rights.
  • Assess people's health and well-being needs when those needs are complex and change across the caseload.
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate programmes to address patient's complex and changing health and well-being needs.
  • Lead work teams in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practice.
  • Allocate, coordinate, monitor and assess the work of teams and individuals.
  • Maintain and support the efficient use of physical and /or financial resources.
