An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced individual to join our friendly, forward thinking and supportive service that provides diabetes care to adults across Bury, Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale.
We are looking for a motivated and suitably qualified individual to support service delivery.The post holder will provide comprehensive, efficient and effective administration support for the service.The successful individual will need to be a hardworking, team player with excellent communication skills and ability to organise and prioritise workload. The ideal candidate would have office administration experience, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and databases. The applicant will be required to be flexible towards the needs of the service.
To provide a comprehensive administration service to support admin functions for the Integrated Community Diabetes Service (ICDS) across Heywood Middleton Rochdale & Bury.
The post holder will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative and clerical service including gathering and accurately collecting data and information from a variety of sources relating to service performance and delivery, whilst always maintaining a confidential, friendly and patient focused service.
It is essential that you possess the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people at all levels both within and outside of the service.
Main duties of the job
To be the first point of contact for the Integrated Community Diabetes Services and to provide a comprehensive administration service to support all functions of the team. To deliver an effective and timely service for patients within the Bury, Heywood Middleton and Rochdale area.
The post holder will be required to undertake a range of tasks working in the ICDS administration function. Tasks include; telephone calls, accurate data input on a number of databases, electronic transfer of information via different methods of transfer (including fax and e mail), message processing, use of electronic ordering systems and involvement in service improvement projects on an ad-hoc basis - whilst always delivering a confidential, friendly and patient focused service.
