Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic Support Manager to join Group Patient Access and Administration Department to oversee all the Outpatient/Inpatient Booking Clerks,
The successful applicant will support the
- Standardisation of booking processes across the NCA
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary stakeholders from Group Patient Access and Administration.
The Department is open Monday to Friday 8 am to 6 pm and Saturdays
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate creative and innovative solutions to a variety of complex and logistical problems; someone who is self-motivated and can liaise with external stakeholders in pursuit of efficiency and service improvement, and someone with a passion for driving the Group Patient Access and Administration Services and Northern Care Alliance agenda forward.

- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Experience in managing a call centre
- Substantial experience in a range of administrative and clerical tasks/ procedures in a healthcare setting
- Experience of successfully recruiting new team members and carrying out training
- A good understanding of confidentiality, health & safety and equal opportunities when managing a team
Desirable
- Experience in working within NHS
Qualifications/Knowledge and Skills
Essential
- Level 3 Business Admin / BTEC certificate or equivalent demonstrable skills, knowledge, experience in a range of line management procedures
- Management qualification or demonstrable experience of managing a team
- Able to use IT systems - confident with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, power point and Teams
- Knowledge of administrative procedures, managerial knowledge and project monitoring
- Experience of working in a customer service environment
Desirable
- Ability to use patient systems e.g. Patient Centre, Theatreman
- Ability to hold difficult conversations/ challeneg appropriately
- Ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels
- Able to work under pressure, plan and adopt to change
