We are looking to recruit Pre-Registration Cross Sector Trainee Pharmacy Technicians to be based at Salford Royal Hospital and complete a 6-month rotation within a local GP practice.

This is a 2-year fixed term appointment. The post is 37.5 hours per week and the salary Band 4 Annex 21
Main duties of the job
Pharmacy Technicians have an important role within primary and secondary care managing all aspects of medicines. This involves preparing and dispensing medicines and counselling patients on the use of their medicines.
We have introduced trainees to cross sector working, contributing to healthcare in General Practice surgeries and Community Pharmacies.
This is an excellent opportunity to train for a career as a Registered Pharmacy Technician and register with the GPhC.
You will study for a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians on an Apprenticeship program, including day release at a local college. Supported within the workplace by an educational supervisor.
Applicants must possess a minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade A - C or grade 4 - 9 including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and another science or similar qualification. You must be willing and able to follow an academic and practical training course and commit up to 10 hours per week of your own time for private study.
