Job summary

We are looking for enthusiastic motivated individuals who are capable of working on their own initiative to carry out catering duties in a busy staff restaurant providing the best possible service and experience for patients, visitors and staff. restaurant. Duties are food service, cleaning, quality control, waste and cash handling. Catering duties also include working in the patient services when required.

You must be confident in the everyday running of the restaurant and required to work without supervision.

Main duties of the job

  1. Being dynamic serving customers in a fast paced catering department.
  2. Preparing the counter for service
  3. Accurately take food orders over the counter or on the telephone
  4. Cash Handling, taking card payments and keeping accurate accounts of money transactions.
  5. Simple Food preparation such as salads and sandwiches.
  6. Preparing orders for Paninis, pizza and other hot snacks.
  7. Keeping accurate records for the HACCP Food Safety System
  8. Cleaning and filling vending machines.
  9. Putting away deliveries
  10. Replenishing fridges and selves with stock, whilst making sure stock is rotated.
  11. Informing supervisor when stocks are low
  12. Delivering buffets and hospitality to areas away from the main Staff Restaurant.
  13. Clearing away dirty pots.
  14. General cleaning of equipment kitchen, service counter and restaurant areas.
  15. When required deliver food orders to the Wards.
  16. If required, cover absences with in the Catering Dept including Patients Kitchen
