Lead Nurse - Safe Staffing

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Nurse to join our friendly and highly professional Safer Staffing Team.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Nursing for Safe Staffing we are currently looking for a proactive and self-motivated Lead Nurse, This post will give you the opportunity to work accross a Group Organisation at the Northern Care Alliance.

Main duties of the job

Your primary responsibility is to ensure safe staffing across all sites, including Salford, Rochdale, Bury and Oldham. You will work in a team demonstrating strong clinical visible leadership and be able to manage a team of clinical support leads.

You will have an excellent knowledge of Safer Staffing and had experience of managing complex staffing issues at ward or department level. You will support the implementation of the e-Roster system, implementation of the Safer Nursing Care Tool and have experience of establishment setting in clinical areas. Experience of recruitment and retention is essential.

You need to be able to source accurate data relating to staffing fill rates, patient outcomes and be able to analyse, interpret and summarise complex information. You need to have experience preparing and writing reports to provide assurance at Trust wide meetings. You need to be able to present information in a clear, concise and meaningful manner and have excellent communication skills.

You need to be willing to develop your own skills and knowledge and have the ability to adapt to change.

  • Five years post registration experience of which 3 years experience are at a senior level in nursing / midwifery
