Job summary
The Senior Equality and Inclusion Practitioner will work with the Group EDI Programme Manager to ensure that equality issues are embedded into the daily functions and activities of the Northern Care Alliance. The post holder will provide high levels of expertise and specialist knowledge to ensure that the Trust is compliant with its statutory duties in accordance with its EDI Strategy, including the corporate objectives.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who will join a very diverse and vibrant team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will project lead and manage work across all Directorates to assist and support staff to carry out equality analyses, staff survey, improve patient outcomes and to develop action plans based on these findings. They will therefore manage a variety of work streams that underpin the Equality analysis process and influence and guide corporate strategy developments to ensure the Trust meets its Equality and Human Rights responsibilities, in line with national priorities, legislative duties and local need.
The role will ensure alignment of the EDI approach to becoming the best provider for delivering services to patients and employment practices.
The postholder is expected to use their initiative to develop projects and have resilience to ensure equality progress is made across the organisation.
