Bury Community Services, All-age Nutrition and Dietetic Service

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Band 3 Dietetic Assistant to be part of the Bury All-Age Community Dietetic Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide assistance to the Nutrition and Dietetic Service with specific activities as delegated by and under the supervision of dietitians. The role will work across the all-age dietetic service which covers a range of diet related conditions in a variety of community settings. Tasks will include; reviewing care plans set by the dietitians, gathering information as required by the dietitians, prioritising / troubleshooting messages and facilitating practical initiatives which may include supporting campaigns or promoting the service.
Other general administrative duties include; supporting dietitians with clinical paperwork / processes, use of an electronic patient record, filing, and maintaining stock control of dietetic resources.
Staff development is a high priority and you will be fully supported by specialist dietitians to enable you to establish yourself and develop in the role. We are committed to work based education and training to improve skills and we actively encourage CPD and audit.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a health environment and hold a NVQ level 3 certificate, have excellent communication, IT and organisational skills.
This post will involve communication with a wide range of people, for example; patients, parents, carers, health professionals, enteral feed company personnel and other members of the wider multi-disciplinary team.
