An exciting leadership opportunity has become available for an experienced nurse leader to join the division of Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences (MCCN) hosted in Salford care Organisation, a member of the Northern Care Alliance Group.
As the Assistant Director of Nursing for MCCNyou will be responsible for the Neurosurgical Specialties. This will include Neurosurgery and Spinal Surgery and the Major Trauma ward. The Major Trauma services will be moving into a brand new facility in 2023 which is very exciting for our patients. The post holder will also provide leadership for non ward based specialist nursing teams and services within the neurosurgical directorate.
You will join a multi professional team of highly skilled individuals whose sole purpose is to ensure that patients and their families are cared for in the best way for them.
Youwill provide managerial and professional leadership and be responsible and accountable for the delivery of a high quality, patient centred nursing service that meets the needs of the patient. You will also work closely with the Clinical Directors and Service Managers in the co-ordination and delivery of services in accordance with National and Trust Health Strategies
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide managerial and professional leadership and be responsible and accountable for the delivery of a high quality, patient centred nursing service that meets the needs of the patient. The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Directors and Service Managers in the co-ordination and delivery of services in accordance with National and Trust Health Strategies.
They will ensure a robust professional approach to service development and improvement and that any subsequent changes to structures, services and roles are underpinned by appropriate support and on-going development.
Together with the Divisional Director of Nursing and Executive Director of Nursing, lead the strategic direction of the whole group and take a lead role in negotiating, identifying, and implementing plans, which contain the required detail for services to be managed and delivered effectively. Provide professional nursing advice and leadership for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Nursing and Quality Strategies that deliver a high quality, patient centred service.
Encourage and enable the advancement and development of the nursing service and practice through personal and professional development which is aligned to strategic direction of the learning and development team.
