Job summary

Salford Royal was chosen as a Centre for Global Digital Exemplar (GDE) the Digital Team have played an instrumental part in this and have led the way in successfully launching many initiatives, identifying our Trust as one of the most digitally mature Trusts in England with regards to Health Informatics and the pioneering use of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) System, plus much more.

The Digital Team are responsible for developing and maintaining new and existing digital services for both the public and internal users in order to improve outcomes for citizens in our community. Were looking for people who are enthusiastic and passionate about what they do and believe in making a difference in Health Care both at a local and National level. We need people to play a key role in the management of data from these initiatives across its full lifecycle, from the collection of data through to the point of data exploitation and integrating this data with other systems used in the Trust including the EPR. There really is something for everybody in Digital Health and it's such an exciting time to become part of this multidisciplinary team who strive to make a difference for our patients and health care professionals on a daily basis.

Main duties of the job

Due to the number of digital programmes we are looking to expand our team.

The key emphasis will be to take a creative and visionary approach to the design and build of the EPR using a core configuration tool (SQL, C# or SSRS skills are not required).

An important aspect of the role includes the analysis and interpretation of current work flows and practices, working in partnership with clinical services.

You will be self-directed, tenacious yet able to work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team with a flexible approach.

Please note: this role is office based at Turnpike House with occasional requirements to visit the main hospital site.
