Practice Development and Education (PD&E) are looking for an enthusiastic and creative person to join our team of administrators. The post holder will be welcomed to work mainly in the pre-registration team focusing on the administration and recruitment processes related to the Trainee Nursing Associate (TNA) role but will also work across the wider multi-professional pre-registration and preceptorship team. In addition there would be opportunity to support in the different workstreams in PD&E including healthcare support workers, clinical skills, quality and risk, international recruitment, return to practice and CPD. Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for specific tasks such as inputting and maintaining the data bases, supporting the nursing associate recruitment process, organising and minuting meetings, and contacting and scheduling speakers for teaching sessions. The post holder will review the completion of eLearning for inductions and monitor attendance and evaluations of teaching sessions.

The post holder is required to work with a degree of autonomy on a variety of tasks, as per task list provided by the pre-registration and preceptorship team, prioritising own workload on a day-to-day basis, with a focus on administration related to the TNA cohorts, and also providing cover for departmental colleagues during staff absences and holidays.

Accurate recording of information and data relating to recruitment and placements using the team spreadsheets and produce regular activity reports for relevant committees and boards. Will need to use initiative, organisational skills and judgement.

To support the recruitment process and monitoring of the TNA cohorts in collaboration with the NNUH apprenticeship, and pre-registration teams.

  • To support the administration of meetings, preparing agendas, take minutes arrange venues and assist Educators and other department staff with correspondence with a focus on the apprenticeship nursing associate cohorts.
  • To support the design and production of publicity materials for courses the pre-registration and preceptorship team provides. To ensure that these are of a high standard and meet the requirements for publication both in print and on the trust internal and external website.
  • To place purchase orders as requested by Clinical Educators and authorised by Department Lead, exploring the most cost-effective options including charitable funds.
  • To undertake additional tasks for the team during periods of absences and undertake other tasks commensurate with the responsibilities for this post to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
