Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital
The closing date is 11 May 2025
Job summary
Fixed-term contract/secondment opportunity until 31st March 2026
We are undertaking an exciting programme to implement a single Electronic Patient Record (EPR) across the Norfolk and Waveney Acute Hospital Collaborative (NWAHC), supporting the wider NHS digital transformation agenda. The Collaborative consists of three acute hospital trusts:
- James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (JPUH)
- Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH)
- The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust (QEH)
This is a unique opportunity to use your skills and experience to make a real difference to patient care across the region. The EPR programme will help us deliver safer, more connected, and more efficient care for the people of Norfolk and Waveney.
We are committed to delivering a digitally enabled healthcare system that supports our long-term vision for high-quality, safe, and inclusive care. As a key part of the local health and care system, the three acute hospitals play a vital role in this transformation. Our digital mission is central to shaping a modern, integrated health service that meets the needs of our diverse communities--now and in the future.
Main duties of the job
As an Application Analyst within the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme, you will complete training in MEDITECH Expanse and use your knowledge to carry out complex configuration and updates to EPR applications. You'll help shape how digital systems support clinical workflows, ensuring they align with the agreed practices and standards set by the programme.
This is a varied and fast-paced role where you will work closely with other EPR and Trust teams to ensure all areas of the system are well integrated. You'll also support testing activities to make sure the system is safe, secure, reliable and works as expected for both clinical and operational teams.
Using your knowledge of applications and healthcare pathways--especially maternity, where relevant--you'll support users through regular meetings, system investigations and issue resolution. You should be confident analysing and interpreting technical or clinical information, with strong communication and planning skills. We're looking for team players who are organised, proactive, and passionate about improving patient care through digital innovation.
If you're motivated by making a difference and ready to be part of a major digital transformation in the NHS, we'd love to hear from you!
