Job summary
Fixed term contract/ secondment opportunity for 12 months
The Finance team comprises around 50 staff who provide financial support and guidance to the Trust as well as managing internal and external financial reporting. We are responsible for all management accounting, financial reporting, tax, capital management, project accounting and business partnering.

Main duties of the job
Provide financial and management information to clinical directorates and divisions, including:
a. Monthly meetings with each budget holder, to ensure both accuracy and understanding of the financial statements issuedb. Costing information to budget holders, service managers and divisional general managers within strict deadlines.
Provide financial advice and support to divisional general managers, service managers and other budget holders in the financial management and control of expenditure.
Provide information and costs to the directorates, and contribute to the directorates plans for developments as part of the Local Delivery Plan process.

- Provide information and costs to the directorates, and contribute to the directorates plans for developments as part of the Local Delivery Plan process.
- Ensure that the system for managing staff vacancies and staff establishments is up-to-date and accurate, and is provided in accordance with key deadlines and performance measures.
- Produce timely and accurate variance analysis reports and ensure variances are investigated thoroughly in order to provide the budget holder with comprehensive information to allow the budgetary position to be effectively managed.
- Ensure control accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis, and all outstanding items are cleared, with full explanations on reconciling differences.
- Ensure all accounting records, systems and files are accurately maintained.
- Attend directorate meetings to present the financial performance of the directorate, and to contribute more widely to the business of the directorate.
