Job summary

We have embarked on a programme to implement a single Electronic Patient Record (EPR) as part of the NHS digital health ongoing initiative across the Norfolk and Waveney Acute Hospital Collaborative (NWAHC). The collaborative is made up of three acute hospitals in Norfolk and Waveney;

James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (JPUH)

Main duties of the job

As an Application Analyst within the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme, you will complete and pass the relevant MEDITECH Expanse training and be able to undertake complex configuration or modification to the EPR applications you are working on and adapt it to the working practices and standards that are agreed by the Trusts and EPR programme, with the support of the Lead Analyst and Application Analyst/Trainer. We are specifically seeking those with experience or knowledge in any of the following areas: EPR, Theatres or Outpatients.

Under the direction of your line manager, you will assist with transposing future workflows, into the EPR application build. You will support with the modification of the EPR system using software configuration tools, so it works effectively for clinical and operational staff.

You will support other EPR application teams in integrated areas which requires close collaborative working with other EPR and trust teams, including but not limited to users & security, reporting, end user devices, testing, training, data migration, medical device integration and business continuity planning. You will assist your line manager to test the system thoroughly to ensure that it is safe, usable, secure, and robust and that it works as expected. You will provide support to end-users using your application knowledge through regular meetings and through incident investigation and resolution.
