Job summary

We are looking for a Assistant Practitioner to join our Denton Ward team which covers Colorectal and General Surgery. We are a friendly and welcoming team which is committed to ensuring we provide the highest standard of care to patients on the ward while continually striving for improvement.

Main duties of the job

  • Your role will include working alongside the ward co-ordinator assisting with timely and safe discharge of patients.
  • This post will involve disseminating and teaching new members of staff and junior colleagues, stoma care management and the relevant physiological processes and complications surrounding bowel surgery.
  • This post offers exciting opportunities to undertake wound care management and follow up arrangements on discharge.
