Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative Administration Assistant within the Medical Division to support the Health Rostering of our Resident Doctor teams.

Our aim is to ensure every patient receives high quality, safe and responsive care irrespective of their age, social status and/or the time of day, day of the week that they access our services.

Applicants will require exceptional organisational skills, comprehensive administration skills, strong relationship management skills, and an ability to manage/prioritize multiple requests and demands. You will be passionate about developing and coordinating process improvements and effective ways of working for the department.

The post holder will be in a unique position to provide excellent organisational support to ensure there is an efficient and pro-active response to the key challenges of managing the rosters across multiple specialty's within the division.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to join the Medicine Division. The Health Roster Administration Assistant role is a new position, created in response to the recent expansion to our Resident (Junior) Doctor workforce and will be a key support to The Hospital @ Night's Clinical Lead.

You must be enthusiastic and able to contribute to a busy department, delivering high level administrative support to the team. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure and on own initiative is essential.

You will offer first line support to end users of the Allocate Healthroster system, acting as the first point of contact for system issues. Ensuring that the Trusts ESR Staff database reconciles with the Healthroster system, highlighting anomalies and applying corrections.

You will be responsible for maintaining and updating staff/ward data as required; ensuring timely, accurate data is available to users in time for roster production, including all new starters / leavers and changes to staff data cross referenced to ESR database.

You will also assist system users with the use of electronic timesheets, e-expenses, employee online and general system guidance.They will liaise with and maintain strong working relationships with Senior Managers, Clinical staff, nursing, and A & C staff within the Trust.
