Fixed term contract/ secondment opportunity for 12 months
We are looking for an ambitious, passionate, and patient focused person to work with us as a Healthcare Assistant within Urology. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of Specialist Nurses and existing Health Care Assistants within the Urology Directorate at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn.
As a Band 2 Health Care Assistant you will be working alongside Specialist Nurses, Senior Healthcare Assistants, and all members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team. You will have the chance to expand your knowledge and skills in this field of Nursing with the opportunity to attend virtual and classroom-based training courses.
You will be well supported by the existing team within Urology to take up this new challenge with a focus on patient pathways and treatments.

Main duties of the job
- To provide and monitor a safe, person-centered care to a designated group of patients, service users and families in a range of care settings under the direction of the specialist nurses, without direct supervision in line with an agreed plan of care.
- To support the Specialist Nurses by contributing to delivery of care for this group of patients
- To assist in the monitoring of conditions and health needs of patients on a continual basis in partnership with colleagues, families and carers, referring to others for reassessment.
- To work under supervision of the Urology Specialist Nurses partaking in clinics on the unit as directed.
