Job summary

Applications are invited for an Educational Dermatology Clinical Fellow, to join an innovative and enthusiastic team in a 50/50 teaching and clinical dermatology post.

This role is a 12 months fixed term appointment and is designed for a doctor with a career interest in dermatology with an aptitude for teaching. The post is due to start in August 2024 but an earlier start date may be negotiated.

Main duties of the job

This post offers training opportunities with the University of East Anglia to develop undergraduate teaching skills and opportunities for training in OSCE and other examination assessments. The post holder will assist in the organisation of the undergraduate teaching programme and there will be opportunity to obtain formal feedback.

The Dermatology Directorate has eighteen medical consultants, three nurse consultant, 4 WTE StRs, 2 specialty doctors, five clinical fellows and an IMT and GP Trainee. The department sees 14,000 new and 28,000 follow up per year. Facilities include a dedicated outpatient unit with surgical suites, phototherapy and day treatment unit.
