Job summary
The Business Intelligence team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUHFT) is here to make a real impact in healthcare through data. As a member of our team, you'll be joining a close-knit group of 25 information analysts, officers, and developers dedicated to providing valuable insights and analytics.
In our fast-paced environment, we focus on using data to enhance patient care, improve operational efficiency, and make informed decisions. As an integral part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work collaboratively with different departments across the hospital, contributing to the overall goal of optimizing healthcare services.
We are currently embarking on the largest piece of digital transformation ever undertaken at the Trust.
Alongside two other acute hospitals in the region, we will be moving from paper-based patient records to electronic ones. The Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme aims to revolutionize how patient health and care information is managed within our acute hospitals.
Business Intelligence plays a crucial role in the EPR project, as we look to develop and promote a new modern data platform for the Trust.
If you're passionate about technology, collaboration, and growth, this opportunity is perfect for you!
Main duties of the job
We're looking to recruit a BI Developer on a full-time basis. 37.5 hours per week.
As a BI Developer, you will consult with stakeholders to collate reporting requirements, translate them into Dimensional models and implement the ETL solutions into our existing Data Warehouse.
Alongside your colleagues, you will also support the maintenance of the Data Warehouse to ensure that it is running efficiently, configure bespoke data feeds to further expand our repository of data, and assist in the administration of our Test and Production SQL Servers.
You will have access to various products to support you with this work such as (but not limited to) T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS and Power BI.
The BI Development team will be pivotal in developing a new Data Warehouse for the up-and-coming EPR deployment. This role presents a good opportunity for developers looking for a new challenge and wanting to take the next step in their careers.
To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Dedication, Integrity, and Excellence.
