This post offers the opportunity to develop management and leadership skills within a supportive environment, to create highly skilled Band 6 Nurses who will lead our fantastic orthopaedic teams.
The candidates will need to be an adaptable and ambitious individual, who will help lead on development and delivery of high standards of nursing care to our elective patients within Cringleford Ward and NaNOC.
Cringleford Ward is a 20 bedded ward for elective orthopaedics, we strive on being people focused, supportive of each other, offering high standards of care to our patients. We will also see the opening of our dedicated Elective Orthopaedic Centre which will include two brand new additional theatres and a 21 bedded in-patient ward. This is an expanding department and it's an exciting time to join.

Main duties of the job
As post holder you would be responsible for promoting and implementing practice conducive to the development of high-quality patient care by providing professional, clinical and managerial leadership.
To take charge of the Ward/Department in the absence of the Ward/Departmental Sister/Charge Nurse and provide support and guidance to all staff on medicines optimisation and prescribing for all inpatients, including completion of electronic drug charts for emergency admissions and writing discharge prescriptions.

- Assist the Ward/ Department manager in maintaining standards of nursing practice.
