The Oral Health Outpatients Department is based within West Outpatients at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital.
Oral Health falls under the banner of the Head & Neck Directorate, which comprises of Ear, Nose and Throat and Oral Health.
Main duties of the job
You will be expected to provide an efficient, reliable administrative service to medical / secretarial staff within the Directorate. For full details and competencies required, please see job description
You will be trained to use the electronic patient system (PAS), along with all relevant administrative skills and will contribute to and support a very busy, committed and hard-working team.
You will also support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture.

- To deal with queries and telephone enquiries in a helpful, courteous and efficient manner.
- To ensure that all future procedures / appointments are given to the correct personnel to be recorded.
- Any other duties which may be required by the Office Manager to ensure the smooth efficient running of the Unit / Directorate. Such as supporting the Appointment office when necessary, contacting patients to gain specific information prior to their appointments.
- To arrange patient transport as necessary.
- Attend any training courses required to update knowledge and keep abreast of any developments, i.e. Fire, Manual Handling, Customer Care, Resuscitation and PAS training.
