Job summary
The Ophthalmic Outpatients is based within Outpatient West at the NNUH and at Central Norwich Eye Clinic.
It is our privilege to provide ophthalmic healthcare to over 100,000 patients across Norfolk and the surrounding area. We undertake the assessment and care of ophthalmic patients.

Part time - 18 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person who is keen to join the team within the Eye Clinic.
This role offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to work alongside a dedicated and highly skilled team as we look forward to the future development of the service. The role will involve you working in the outpatient department at the NNUH and on a rotational basis in the Central Norwich Eye Clinic, based at Grove Road Clinic in Norwich City Centre
This role is for Ophthalmology Outpatients, but we do at times support our colleagues across the ophthalmic speciality and our colleagues on the wards. The clinic is open from 08:30-20:00. Monday - Saturday (shifts include weekday evening work and weekend daytime shifts).
The role includes supporting and assisting patients attending various sub specialities appointments, oculoplastic and intravitreal procedures, laser treatment, the emergency eye service and much more. This involves history taking, completing various eye tests, and coordinating daily clinical activity to support a positive and timely patient experience.
Ophthalmic experience is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will complete the competency-based learning programme for Ophthalmology and full training and support will be given by our Clinical Educator and Ophthalmic MDT. Both experienced and newly qualified RN are equally welcome to apply.
