Guist ward is a specialist unit caring for those patients with complex mental health needs and eating disorders.

We are currently seeking compassionate, enthusiastic, and motivated Band 3 mental health care assistants to join our friendly and dedicated team with a passion for caring. You will be fully supported and provided with learning and training opportunities.

You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and possess a willingness to take on new challenges.

Main duties of the job

Previous experience of working with mental health patients would be advantageous, we are also interested in hearing from individuals who have a special talent for being caring and compassionate and who would be able to go the extra mile to help our patients feel valued and cared for and at all times to treat them with dignity and respect.

To work with all members of the Ward/Department clinical team within the multi-disciplinary framework.

To maintain a high standard of patient care under the direction of the Ward/Department Sister/Charge Nurse.

To provide high standards of patient care.

To work in accordance with the principles laid down by the Nursing/Midwifery professional bodies and Trust Policies.

Full time: 37.5 hrs per week and part time hours also available.
