Job summary

This post is working as part of the Neurosciences Team within the Medicine Division at NNUH.

You willwork as part of our reception as team leader, whilst liaising with the wider administrative and clinical teams, ensuring a positive experience for our patients attending clinics.

You will also have the responsibility of managing annual leave, sickness recording and appraisals of your team, working closely with the management team.

Full time: 37.5 hours per week

Main duties of the job

The post holder's main responsibilities are to provide an efficient and effective Reception and Ward desk service for Neurology, Medical Division.

This includes dealing with telephone enquiries, supporting with booking appointments within the Trust's 18 weeks referral to treatment guidelines, organising patient's notes in order to ensure our clinics run smoothly, photocopying, filing and general office duties.

Key to this role is the leadership of our Reception team, being responsible for the day to day operational management of the rostering, reception areas and the reception teams.

To support the Admin Manager with the development and review of policies and systems for the management of reception duties.

To communicate responsibly and effectively with all staff, patients and visitors. To use information gathered in a professional manner ensuring patient confidentiality in line with the Trust Code of Conduct.
