We are looking to recruit a Clerical Officer/ Typist to join our Paediatric team located at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
Part Time: 19.5 hours per week

Main duties of the job
A friendly, enthusiastic, motivated, hardworking person is required to join our busy team as a Clerical Officer/ Typist
You will be part of a well-established, dedicated and friendly team. This is a good opportunity to join an expanding and exciting department.
You will be expected to provide a high-quality support within Women & Children Services, to be able to communicate well with patients and their relatives, the general public and a wide range of multi-professional staff, internal and external to the Trust.
In order to provide a support service to the technical staff, a versatile approach is essential and the ability to cope with a large number of different tasks simultaneously is a prerequisite of this post.

- Type patient letters relating to clinics in accurate and timely manner and be able to prioritise workload with the support from the Medical Secretaries/Admin manager
- Locate, request and track hospital notes to the department and Health Records Library and file results and correspondence appropriately.
- Communicate electronically with secretaries regarding actions to be outcomed from typing to ensure 18 week targets are met.
- Update RTT in accordance with Trust guidelines. Assist the Administration and Clerical team with data management utilising PAS and other departmental patient databases.
- Work in line with department guidelines and policies, and offer suggestions for improvements to procedures/policies to support the continual development of the service.
