Job summary

Would you like to be part of a new innovative, proactive, friendly, and supportive team?

The Virtual Ward is an exciting addition to the way we care for patients. Patients are cared for at home using wearable technology. Virtual ward nurses need to be dynamic, forward-thinking individuals with great problem solving and IT skills. The role requires flexibility of day and night shifts and the ability to occasionally work from home, so candidates will need a secure, confidential space to talk to patients.

Communication is key in virtual nursing, and we use a variety of communication methods and tools with both our and across the multidisciplinary team.

The service is continuously evolving so candidates will need to be adaptable to change and able to contribute to any new initiatives to improve patient care.

Interview Date: 20th December 2023

Main duties of the job

Patients are presented on a virtual ward round daily and plans of care updated accordingly. The successful candidate will be responsible for checking the patients medications on EPMA and documenting that they are self- administered (unobserved) where appropriate and escalating any discrepancies.
