Job summary

The NNUH procurement team consists of a dozen procurement professionals and is a big part of the wider Norfolk and Waveney (N&W) ICS procurement collaboration. This collaboration is advanced with many procurement decisions made at an ICS level to benefit all.

The NNUH and N&W procurement functions are high performing against peer organisations, and with case studies and recognition at a national level.

Main duties of the job

The role will be aligned to one of the Clinical divisions within the Trust, working with a mentor to provide all strategic support to that division.

Key responsibilities include managing supply issues, assisting in achieving cash releasing savings based on standardardisation and product choice, and ensuring appropriate contractual cover for products and services.

Delivering commercial benefit and ensuring compliance with all relevant Procurement Legislation and Trusts Standing Financial Instructions and seek guidance where appropriate.

Actively participate in collaborative initiatives at either local, regional or national level in particular directly managing workplans for Norfolk and Waveney Clinical Product Evaluation Group (CPEG).

Undertake the strategic procurement of Goods and Services, ensure Frameworks and existing agreements are fully utilised, and will ensure Best Value is achieved.

Full time: 37.5 hours per week

  • 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English
